So after that crushing defeat, I had a feeling of vengence in my head. I figured I would come back and do the same one again. Needless to say I did not get me revenge. I lost the next ten No Limit Hold'em that had a $0.10 buy in. Then I got on a very hot streak, winning a number of big hands. I was almost to the final table when I went on a losing streak. I started to get low cards or a high card with a 2 or 4 any suit. I really hate when this happens. It just really is a disappointing feeling to see a hot streak end. Don't you hate when that happens? For this one I ended up finishing 10th which meant I was given $0.40. So I got my buy in back plus $0.30. Not bad. That made me feel better about the previous loses for the day. After a break for a meal, I started to play some more games.
I did a couple more of those games, thinking that if I finished 10th once, maybe I could win the whole thing. Nope, I was wrong. I added a few more loses from the games with a $0.10 buy in. Then I switched to a game with a $0.25 buy in and didn't fair so well. With more defeats behind me, I decided to check out the single table games. One of the games I have played in the past is a No Limit Hold'em with a $1.20 or $1.75 buy in that was a knockout style game. These went very well for me. I won money from both of them which put be back over my $10 that was in my account. I was feeling good and a little adventurous so I decided to do some of the games that had a $1 or more buy in. I did very well on two of them. Winning one of them and finishing in the money on the second one I did. With those two games that gave me a gain on my account, I started to wonder if I should tempt faith and play another game. After eating dinner, I decided to go for it. I played another one that had 18 players. By the way both of the other ones I won also had 18 players.
The last one I did for the night did not go to well for me. I was almost out several times and was able to start making a come back. I made it to the final table some how. I think I made it to the final table by being very patient and conservative with every hand. If I was giving off suit or low cards I would fold. It really is the only thing you can do to survive when you are the small stack at any table. Don't you think it is important to play with a sense of caution when you are the small stack? I sure do. So it got down to 8 players left and only the top six recieved any money. I figured that I might as well try to build up a stack again and went all in. I do not remember the cards but with the blinds being up to $1,000 and $1,200, I needed more chips or I was going to go out when I had the either blinds. So I go all in hoping that every folds. Nope, did not happen. I was called by the chip leader and ended up losing. That ended the game for me. I was not surprised but I did end the night with a $4.64.
With that said, I am off to have some lunch and then I will see what the cards hold for me. If you are wondering why some of my winnings are not recorded on www.officialpokerrankings.com, it is due to their policy of only tracking tournaments with more than 36 players. Some of them are on there if you want to track how I am doing throughout the year but keep in mind that some of them are not there. Please feel free to comment or ask any questions that you may have. Also feel free to click on any links on here. Thank you and may the Poker Gods smile upon every hand you play.
